No other fitness facility has been around as long or endured the ups and downs of the financial market and history. The reason is because their mission is community-focused.
The IV YMCA is set apart from chain gyms. It is more than just a gym. The Y is non-profit and run by a local volunteer board of directors. Your membership fees are going to be used to continually improve the equipment and offerings, along with making it possible for the Y to provide assistance to lower income families and to partner with other organizations in the community to help those in need – mind, body, and spirit.
So, when you join the IV YMCA, you not only are receiving all the benefits of membership, but you are also a part of something bigger. You are joining a force for good in the community. Even if you aren’t physically involved in service projects, your membership is making those things possible.
