AQUATIC GROUP EXERCISE CLASSES

WATER FITNESS & WELLNESS

High energy, low-impact class that has a mix of cardio based exercises. Strengthen your muscles and increase your endurance levels with this full body workout. Can be done with or without equipment in order to modify intensity.

Wednesday Night with Kelly F. | 5:30-6:15pm (Therapy Pool)

This is a gentle, low-impact aquatic activity. Water has a buoyancy that provides relief for joints and with the release of gravity the body is able to find the optimum stretch. Use the rhythm of the water to improve balance, increase flexibility and manage pain.

Tuesday Night with Emily | Time: 5:30-6:15pm (Therapy Pool)

Jump into this low-impact Latin-inspired dance fitness party that is easy to follow, burns calories and makes working out a splash! Let the water move you with this invigorating workout that provides both body toning and cardio conditioning.

Monday Night with Kim | Time: 5:30-6:15pm (Lap Pool)

Whatever your age or fitness level, H20 is a warm water exercise that’s gentle on the joints. It’s an especially effective option if you’re suffering from arthritis or recovering from a recent injury. High calorie burning water aerobics workout and includes the use of water aerobics equipment.

Experience water resistance and the advantages of water exercise in this shallow and deep water exercise class.

This zero-impact, deep water workout that mimics running on land and challenges your entire body without hurting it. The combination of cardio and strength training, burns 40% more calories than land exercises and it’s suitable for people of all ages and fitness levels.

Tuesday Night with Emily | Time: 5:00-5:30pm (Lap Pool)

For a soothing exercise environment, try the SilverSneakers® water exercise class, Silver Splash. You don’t need to know how to swim. A SilverSneakers® kickboard is used to increase strength, and for stability and balance in the water. Members with arthritis or other joint conditions will find the water comforting and the non-impact workout invigorating.

It is fun and easy with long-lasting results. Improve your endurance and get a great workout! Thirty minutes of brisk water walking equals one hour of land walking. Walk the River Circle and chart your miles.
